There's no question that coke rap kingpin and G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T is a rap Hall of Famer. But after a long and illustrious career that has partnered him with fellow greats like Pharrell Williams and Kanye West, the Virginia native is ready to set his sights beyond rap on an issue that feels even closer to home: America's mass incarceration epidemic and the school-to-prison pipeline.

In his December 2016/January 2017 Complex cover story, Pusha speaks with renowned author and Complex contributor Mychal Denzel Smith to chronicle his life and career from the past to present. In the story, he shares his thoughts on the current state of the rap game, his label's newest protégé Desiigner, and his fight against racist inequalities in the U.S. justice system. Through his work with activists like Dream Hampton and initiatives like his #SchoolsNotPrisons Tour, Pusha is working to raise awareness of and make concrete impacts on the lives of the millions of disenfranchised Americans locked up today.

Though many are familiar with Pusha's grim accounts of the drug trade, his newest story is not one to miss. Make sure to buy your copy of the December 2016/January 2017 issue today!
