Less than a week after Damian Lillard dropped his debut rap album The Letter Othe Portland Trailblazers point guard announced a huge change to the project: It will no longer include Lil Wayne.

Lillard shared the news via Twitter on Tuesday evening, stating that Weezy's parts on the track “Loyal to the Soil” would be removed at the request of Lil Wayne’s label.

Lillard released the project last Thursday under his rap moniker, Dame D.O.L.L.A. Though his fans are familiar with his musical abilities, this is the first full-length project Lillard has delivered—and he did it in a huge way. The 12-track record included features by everyone from Jamie Foxx and Dupré to Juvenile and Raphael Saadiq. So, yes, it's disappointing that Lil Wayne was cut, but there are still plenty of big-name cameos throughout.

You can purchase The Letter O today on iTunes—and it's likely that Wayne' contribution to it will continue to live on through the internet.
