Tyga may avoid getting arrested after all. A new report from TMZ claims that the rapper-slash-Kardashian-beau settled the case his former landlord brought against him after he caused damage and failed to pay rent on a rented mansion in Malibu. The lawsuit was originally for $480,000, but the report claims the two parties settled for less than that, although an official number isn't currently available.

It is still possible that the warrant will stand, however, as it was issued not for Tyga's failure to make a payment, but also for his failure to appear in court. Tyga is reportedly set to appear in court on Friday to ask the judge to rescind the warrant because the case in question is settled.

Tyga faced potential arrest after failing to show up in court on Tuesday, causing the judge to issue a bench warrant. The "Rack City" rapper was due to make an appearance so that his finances could be examined. His former landlord was reportedly angry at being owed six figures while Tyga was just seen on Instagram purchasing a $200,000 Mercedes-Maybach for his girlfriend Kylie Jenner. The landlord's lawyer claimed the gift was a "fraudulent transfer of assets."

The Kardashian family also made the news surrounding the story after unidentified family members were reportedly upset that the potential scandal around Tyga's looming arrest could damage their brand.

Complex reached out to a rep for Tyga and the lawyer of Tyga's former landlord, but neither were immediately available for comment.
