Wale and President Obama are already well-acquainted after his performance at the White House last year, but tonight they got to know each other a whole lot better. The D.C. rapper served as the opener for Mr. Obama's final State of the Union address, trying his best to pump up a crowd of politicos and government officials. This not only marks a huge moment for Wale's career, but also the first time a rapper has ever opened for a State of the Union address.

Not only did Wale perform, but he also snapped a picture with the Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden and also linked up with Vice President Joe Biden. This monumental event will no doubt give Wale some momentum as he works toward the release of his new album, Shine.
