The-Dream has been teasing a new project all week, and today, Genesis finally arrives. The short film is made up of 10 new songs that play throughout the visual that "explores variations of his random dreams represented as symbols, the face of his soul, and the conflict within himself." As you open the video, a long text graces the screen before the whole thing transports you inside a crumbling church. "This visual art project was created to give fans a glimpse of my daily thoughts," The-Dream says in a press release. "I can never fully explain what I see and what I hear separately, it must be fused into one."
There is no doubt in the connection between music and visuals. "Music IS art to me, those who try to forever separate the two is someone who wants music or art to stand still and not evolve," The-Dream adds. Thumping beats, menacing production and stark images against an abundance of rich, new tracks make this a vivid experience not to be missed. Wiz Khalifa is also featured on "Virtuous." Watch the whole thing now exclusively on TIDAL. The-Dream has also shared his upcoming dates for the Genesis tour with tickets on sale now.
