Last week's devastating attacks in Paris—which left 129 dead and 352 wounded—have left the world grieving. It turns out one of the many lost was a major figure in the music industry, who worked with Justin Bieber, among others, in the past.
Thomas Ayad was an executive at Universal Music Group as the International product manager at Mercury Records, who worked with dozens of musicians throughout his career, including Bieber and Keith Richards. Ayad was one of the label's team members working the Eagles of Death Metal show at the Paris venue Le Bataclan that night. On Monday, Justin penned an emotional tribute writing "He was part of the team for years and I wish I would've had more time to thank him." Bieber also asked for a moment for silence during his performance at the Nickelodeon HALO Awards over the weekend in NYC. You can read his full message below. #Pray4Paris
