Nipsey Hussle was arrested in Burbank, California last night (June 24) after police discovered a bottle of codeine in his vehicle. TMZ reports that Hussle was pulled over for driving without license plates shortly after leaving his recording studio.
According to the Los Angeles Times, during the traffic stop cops pulled up an outstanding warrant for Hussle for driving with a suspended license. After Hussle, whose given name is Ermias Asghedom, consented to a search, police reportedly found the bottle of codeine along with a cup of ice and some soda.
Hussle was released on $1,000 bail shortly after being booked. The Crenshaw rapper is facing a charge of possessing a controlled substance and another for the outstanding warrant.
