Nipsey Hussle was arrested in Burbank, California last night (June 24) after police discovered a bottle of codeine in his vehicle. TMZ reports that Hussle was pulled over for driving without license plates shortly after leaving his recording studio. 

According to the Los Angeles Times​, during the traffic stop cops pulled up an outstanding warrant for Hussle for driving with a suspended license. After Hussle, whose given name is Ermias Asghedom, consented to a search, police reportedly found the bottle of codeine along with a cup of ice and some soda. 

Hussle was released on $1,000 bail shortly after being booked. The Crenshaw rapper is facing a charge of possessing a controlled substance and another for the outstanding warrant.
