While certain sectors of the internet promptly imploded following Donald Glover's cryptic statements surrounding the future of the Childish Gambino moniker, others were less convinced. Some predicted that Glover's statements were specifically referencing a possible finality to the Gambino name, a finality not necessarily implying a permanent departure from music entirely. Of course, Glover's higher acting profile this year — i.e. stripping alongside Channing Tatum in Magic Mike XXL, reviving Olivia Wilde in The Lazarus Effect, and going to Mars in Ridley Scott's The Martian — helped fuel the assumption that future music from Gambino and/or Glover was simply no longer a priority for the hypercreative multihyphenate.

However, recently uncovered tweets from session vocalist Aaron Michael Gutierrez should put such rumors to rest. In a series of tweets (most of which have now been deleted), Gutierrez referenced work he was doing on 5 tracks from a forthcoming Gambino project "with 50 of the best vocalists in LA." Though the tweets were deleted, Reddit (r/donaldglover and r/hiphopheads) gave proper fire to the news alongside some screengrabs via The Fader:

This news aligns quite well with Glover's recently expressed desire of collaborating with Migos — a swiftly acknowledged idea Glover casually revealed during a since-deleted Twitter Q & A:
