With a rumored performers list that included Rihanna and Coldplay, Billboard has reported that Katy Perry will perform at the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show. There were rumors a few months ago that the NFL would be requiring performers to pay to perform at the show, which receives millions of viewers per year. Perry denied these claims last weekend during her appearance on "ESPN College Game Day" saying "I'm not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl."

Katy Perry will bring her huge fan base, which includes over 58 million Twitter followers, and plethora of hits with her when she performs at the show early next year. Last year's headliner, Bruno Mars, brought in over 115 million viewers during his performance and Perry seems poised to break that record.

UPDATE 1/30/15: With the Super Bowl just days away, the AP is reporting that Missy Elliott will join Katy Perry for the halftime show. Katy hinted at the news during her recent press conference for the show, which you can view in full below.
