Kevin Gates recently made our list of the 20 best rappers in their 20s, nudging into the list thanks to his particularly evocative street narratives. Wiz Khalifa, who's jumped on the remix to Gates' signature single "Satellites," also made the list, although his placing—just a few spots further up—shows that his stock has fallen slightly since his commercial peak.
His verse here is ... not very special, although hopefully it will help Gates' profile amongst non-rap heads, and he is at least thematically appropriate for the Baton Rouge rapper's loverman anthem. But they do fiddle with the beat slightly, in an effective way, so that's worth hearing.
