"Brooklyn, New York City, where they paint murals of Biggie," rhymed Talib Kweli, on "Definition" in 1998, just a year after The Notorious B.I.G. was murdered. Since his death, Big Poppa hasn't just been honored by fans who bump his music and pour a little liquor in his memory, but by artists as well, many of whom have taken the time to paint murals of the Notorious one.

Dead rappers don't just get better promotion, but they're often the subject of some of the best rap murals around. Even a few living rappers have gotten their own murals, too. What better way to honor the memory of a community hero than larger-than-life street art?
