In case you forgot or have been living under a rock for the last few months, the Postal Service is getting back together. Today the boys took a pretty unexpected route to publicizing that fact, by putting together a sketch for Funny or Die.
The clip finds Jimmy Tamborello (a.k.a. Dntel) and “Dave from Sub Pop” (played by Kroll Show’s Jon Daly) searching for the band’s second member. Amongst the contestants are Moby (for whom “things haven’t been going so well for”), Blink 182’s Tom DeLonge, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Sunny Day Real Estate’s Nate Mendel, comedian Marc Maron and, of course, “Weird Al” Yankovic. Watch that clip, directed by Tom Scharpling, above, check out the band's tour schedule and pick up the Give Up reissue on April 9 via Sub Pop.
