We're not in the business of running utterly speculative and wildly insane celebrity gossip around here, especially where former Disney Channel starts are concerned. And yet, we find this newsworthy, because sometimes, someone puts something out there that's just too absurd to not note to some degree, if only because what we have on our hands is essentially to the nexus of pop culture and rap what the entire Birther movement was to politics (in other words, shit's too crazy not to be like WTF).

So: In the latest turn of outlandishly specious celebrity gossip, Atlanta monotone trappist Gucci Mane and actress Selena Gomez very allegedly got cozy on the set of the duo's (well, Gomez and RiFF RaFF impersonator James Franco's) upcoming Harmony Korine-directed Spring Breakersflick (due out March 22).

The report, divulged by a production assistant, goes that Gucci spent hours in Gomez' trailer, sometimes with co-stars Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and Vanessa Hudgens, but often completely alone with GomezAccording to the tattle tale, the smoldering trailer romance caught the eyes of the Bieber-faithful production staff: “It almost became a joke, [another employee] said [to Gucci] ‘Watch out or I’m telling Justin [Bieber].’ [Gucci] was like ‘F**k that lil n***a.”

In Spring Breakers, Selena plays a hard-partying college student, Faith, while Gucci plays a menacing drug lord, Archie. Gucci has made two notable contributions to the trailer: on the soundtrack with his hit single, "Young N****," his only other vocal appearance being a vaguely uttered, "Y'all wanna die tonight?"

While it remains completely unclear how many lines Gucci will have in the movie, it seems like he had plenty of time to spit game in between takes. [via hollywoodlife.com]
