The numbers are in and it looks like 2012 was yet another big year for vinyl. The format proved itself to be alive and well last year with a modern-era high of 4.6 million sold. This is a 17.7 percent rise since 2011 and it’s reportedly due mainly to rock records sold at independent retailers.
