Video: Raekwon Says That Wu-Tang's Solo Careers Hurt The Group

Video Loading...

In a recent interview with the folks at VladTV, Raekwon made a pretty heavy statement that, perhaps, some Wu-Tang Clan fans have been thinking for themselves lately: "Our solo careers hurt the Wu-Tang Clan." He explains his sentiments in the above video, during which he also compares the Wu to The Beatles and says that his crew could have dropped like 30 albums by now had they not went solo.

What do you guys think? Is the Chef right about this?

Interesting, but i think it's irrelevant because really it is what it is and in the end all we're left with is a buncha classic music both solo & group. No point worryin bout what coulda been..

I agree.^^ Every group has favorites from the fans and the fans want to see the creative side from that person eventually. I think regardless the Wu did it right and maintained by keeping it together through some of the nastiest arguments shown on film(and off!). The fans appreciate a tight knit group that can come together after being apart creatively over and over...and over again. Not many groups(if any) can survive that.
