Earlier this week, Jay-Z threw a huge party at his remodeled 40/40 Club in New York City, which brought out a slew of his celebrity pals. It also brought out the health inspector, who apparently wasn't too thrilled with some of the food in the kitchen. The inspector then cited the club for several violations and shut the place down on Thursday.
But here's the thing: it opened right back up the following day. According to 40/40 Club representative Ron Berkowitz, one of the refrigerators' motors broke before the health inspector showed up. As such, some of the food wasn't at the correct temperature, which the kitchen staff realized and wouldn't have served anyway, he said. He added that the club didn't lose any business.
