He waxed poetic on money hungry women (“Gold Digger”), touched on the crack epidemic of the '80s (“Crack Music”) and crafted an ode to his mother (“Hey Mama”), whose single parenting clearly had a profound affect on him. While the subject matter could get a little deep at times, ‘Ye kept it upbeat with songs like “Celebration” and “Touch the Sky,” and collaborations with everyone from Nas to Jay-Z to Adam Levine and Jamie Foxx.
