Soon after splitting up with his group of friends in the early hours of the morning, singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw was assaulted by an unknown group of people and left with a broken nose and other facial injuries. The attack took place in Manhattan's East Village.
A spokesperson for the 34-year-old musician explained, "Gavin DeGraw was assaulted late Sunday night and taken to the emergency room at Bellevue Hospital by ambulance. He is currently under observation."
Gavin was scheduled to perform with Maroon 5 and Train tonight, but will be unable to make it. He is listed in stable condition.
UPDATE via TMZ: According to law enforcement, Gavin was left dazed by the attack and was hit by a cab minutes after he was assaulted.
