Online dating is big business and so is video games. So why be surprised when a bunch of developers get together and bring the two together? Over the past few years, online dating sites have launched hoping to cash in on passionate gamers looking for a mate. Websites like Game Crush allow you to play your favorite titles against beautiful women (for a fee of course) while the hilariously named Shag A Gamer offers no-strings-attached love connections ala Adult Friend Finder.
While some sites give you the opportunity to meet the gamer of your dreams, others communities like Kongregate are ripe with users that may lead you to your future baby mama/daddy. Given it's name, one would assume that there's tons of gamers on Dating 4 Gamers ready to exchange some hot and nerdy dialogue but that's not really the case. In face the registration form even asks you for your "geek interests" of which you can pick categories like role-playing, MMORPG, Android, Blogs and others that seem to have just been thrown in there. When you get to the meat of the site, there aren't too many admitted gamers to be found. There are quite a few people to interact with but the annoying pop up reminder to upgrade to a $30 a month account ruins the overall experience. If you have money to play around with, Dating 4 Gamers might be worth a few chuckles.

This site is part of the "Passions" network of sites that cater to people with a wide scope of interests. Upon signing up, you're asked to also pick another site ranging from Manga to STDs. The sign-up process is really grueling as you would just want to run through a quick form and jump right in. However, you're hammered with a multitude of boxes to check off in what seems like an endless survey to win an iPad or some other spam treat. Once past the extensive sign-up there are a lot of members to interact with and most of them have pics. Profiles are very detailed so you know exactly who you're chatting with. That is, if they're not catfishing.
