Famed and deceased sci-fi writer, Isaac Asimov, wrote a ton of books, many of them dealing with robots. In his robot books, he posited three basic laws that all robots must follow, with all of them basically leading to the conclusion that harming a human being is a no-no. With that said, it’s obvious that Isaac Asimov must have had a very low opinion of video games, as robots are maiming and killing humans all the time in them. It’s practically their reason for existence. This list features 25 such robots. And while not all of them are meant to kill all humans (Some of them even help people), they’re all killing machines in some way. De-stroy…de-stroy…

25. B.O.B.

Game: B.O.B.

Awww. He’s so cute…and efficient with a hand canon. Not to be confused with the rapper.

24. Combot

Game: Tekken

Tekken’s communal copycat, Combot will take on the fighting style of every competitor. He’s like Mokujin…but not a tree and he doesn’t have boobs.

23. Cait Sith

Game: Final Fantasy VII

Cait Sith is a cat robot on top of a giant toy moogle. Has there ever been a more ridiculous/wonderful sentence ever written in the history of man?

22. HK-47

Game: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

So cool and funny that they actually made an action figure out of him. Now that’s clout.

21. E-102 Gamma

Game: Sonic Adventure

Adding diversity to the play style of Sonic Adventure with his shooting sections, we welcomed E-102 Gamma to the mix. (Much more than that fat bastard, Big the Cat. Ugh! Who makes fishing an integral part of an action game?)

20. Sektor

Game: Mortal Kombat

Sektor is the red, missile shooting robot from Mortal Kombat. You better recognize.

19. Chibi Robo

Game: Chibi-Robo!: Plug Into Adventure!

Owned by a family, Chibi Robo is probably the most child-friendly robot on this list. We hear he says, “Kill all humans,” in his sleep, though.

18. Cyber Troopers

Game: Virtual-On

Dashing and slashing, the Cyber Troopers were here one moment, and then, they were gone, destroying all that stand in their path. Thank the gods they weren’t real, or we’d have a real problem on our hands with defending our country.

17. Metal Man

Game: Mega Man 2

His demise gives Mega Man the greatest weapon of his entire career. But he’s also cool to look at. Just look at that buzz saw on his head. Man, that’s rad.

16. Wheatley

Game: Portal 2

Smart, articulate, and British, Wheately doesn’t have the cutting wit of GlaDOS, and we actually like that about him. We can only take so much brow-beating.

15. P-Jack

Game: Tekken

P (The P stands for Prototype) Jack is a beast. So much so, that he even pounds his metal chest like a gorilla and then falls over backwards, still pounding. Nobody said he was all that bright in the noggin.

14. Brownie

Game: Contra Hard C.O.R.P.S.

Rounding out the metal side of the Contra Hard C.O.R.P.S (What? They also roll with a werewolf), Brownie isn’t messing around when it comes to the auto-fire. Let’s lock and load!

13. Metal Sonic

Game: Sonic CD

Sonic’s mechanized equivalent, this robot has no problem trying to eradicate the blue blaze. In fact, it was what he was programmed to do. Dr. Robotnik is so evil.

12. Fulgore

Game: Killer Instinct

Fulgore was created to kill, plain and simple. Jago, Sabrewolf, Orchid? Your days are numbered.

11. Robbit

Game: Jumping Flash

Flying high with his robot legs, we’d love to have a pair of those lucky rabbit feet. We’d jump from our office on the east coast to an In-N-Out Burger on the west coast, all in a single bound. It’d be worth it.

10. Bomberman

Game: Bomberman

Bomberman is destructive and likes to blow shit up. But he’s also as cute as a plush doll, so we’ll forgive him. Ka-Boom!

9. Gray Fox

Game: Metal Gear Solid

Part man, part machine, we’re not really sure where the man ends and the machine begins. We just know this—He’s dangerous S.O.B.

8. Zero

Game: Mega Man

Wielding what’s pretty much a lightsabre, Zero cuts his foes in half. He’s as dangerous as he is radical (And makes a hell of a fighter in Marvel vs. Capcom 3).

7. Dog

Game: Half-Life 2

Can man’s best friend be a robot? When it leaps to the rescue and fights off your foes, it can be.

6. Metal Gear

Game: Metal Gear

Big, bad, and scary, they rightfully take the name of the series that Snake built.

5. Mega Man

Game: Mega Man

Everybody’s favorite robotic man, Mega Man will kill you, steal your ability, and then claim that they were his all along. Now that’s shameful.

4. Cyrax

Game: Mortal Kombat

The green net throwing, yellow robot is the other machine to make mincemeat out of you in Mortal Kombat. Watch out for the trash compactor in his chest.

3. R.O.B.

Game: Nintendo Entertainment System

Your robot operated buddy is to the rescue! Too bad he only enjoys playing two games (Stack-Up and Gyromite).

2. GlaDOS

Game: Portal

Demeaning, smart, and hilarious, GlaDOS will cut you down to size not with a buzz saw, but with a sarcastic remark. The cake is a lie.

1. Robo

Game: Chrono Trigger

Abused by his robot peers because he chooses to help mankind over metal, Robo leaves his people to serve man. Now that’s a robot.
