Yesterday, President Obama reached out to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California and told the team how proud he was of their efforts, saying "it's really mind-boggling what you've been able to accomplish." The President was spot on.

What NASA accomplished with the Curiosity rover's landing on Mars, using an untested technique, was nothing short of remarkable. Nearly as remarkable are the photos the Curiosity has been able to capture so far on its journey through the unknown. While it hasn't been able to photography any martians (sorry, Mr. President), the rover has been taken some awesome photos of the Red Planet. We scoured through NASA's archive and grabbed the ones that made us "wow."
