TweetDeck Users No Longer Able To Send Tweets Over 140 Characters

Twitter's first order of business regarding its newly acquired TweetDeck application is to trim the fat. And by fat, we mean all extraneous elements that may go against Twitter's identity. The first up: the Deck.ly app which allows users to tweet messages longer than 140 characters by posting the overrun on a seperate web page

TweetDeck made the announcement via—where else?—Twitter, where it said the move was an effort to make TweetDeck "more consistent with Twitter and Twitter's mobile apps."
