Russell Westbrook has never been afraid to make a statement with his pre- and post-game outfits. But the stylish Oklahoma City guard has been stunting especially hard during the playoffs. Over the past few weeks we have seen him wearing items like a patchwork denim shirt, a teal cut-off, and an oversized long-sleeve tee by Vetements.
Westbrook's eclectic looks are nothing new, but he's still finding different ways to stump NBA fans with his style choices. When he stepped out before game two against the Golden State Warriors Wednesday night, many were wondering what the hell he was wearing. Westbrook was rocking a pair of black jeans and a black leather jacket, but the piece that was grabbing everyone's attention was his destroyed white tee, with a massive hole in the middle. People couldn't seem to get over the ripped-up top.
The best reaction of the night came post-game when Westbrook was taking his seat for the press conference. An NBA TV commentator had no idea what to make of Westbrook's holey shirt. Upon seeing his outfit, the commentator finds himself lost for words, "I don't have anything," he says. "Anyone?"
Another commentator seems less shocked by his sartorial choice. He simply defends the look by pointing out, "It's him." Anyone who follows Westbrook's style would agree. This isn't the first time he's rocked a polarizing look, and it definitely won't be the last.
