Patrik Ervell has just unveiled his Spring/Summer 2015 campaign, and the designer took a left turn with the promotional imagery by not including any of his actual clothing. Instead, the campaign is composed of never-before-seen pictures from the late photographer Peter Hujar.
The Hujar estate granted Ervell access to the photos specifically for this campaign. Hujar is best known for his black and white portraits, and worked with Andy Warhol as well as other members of New York City's downtown art scene at the time, including Susan Sontag, Candy Darling, and Ethyl Eichelberger.
Although the photographs used for the campaign were shot in 1981, Ervell told T Magazine, "[Hujar's] images are timeless. They could have been taken for me last week.”
