Last week we got a preview of artist Jayson Musson's new web series The Adventures of Jamel, a show that chronicles the life of a B-boy who is sent back in time by a member of the Illuminati. Directed by Scott Ross and starring James III as Jamel, the first episode skips the typical pilot formula and what Musson calls the "superfluous Criterion Collection nonsense" of establishing characters and jumps right into the story.

A montage shown right before Jamel reaches the past shows him in iconic photos and paintings. The tracksuit and Kangol-wearing B-boy shows up in the 1989 image of man facing off with a tank in the Tiananmen Square protests, in the 1945 photo of a sailor kissing a woman in Times Square on V-J Day, hanging with Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr., and with George Washington crossing the Delaware, all before landing in "Connecticut" and freeing a slave. It is as absurd and funny as it sounds, so just watch the show below:
