This might be when the selfie phenomenon goes a little too far. An L.A. talent agent went under the knife—purely to look better when she takes selfies.

Talent agent Triana Lavey underwent roughly $15,000 worth of plastic surgery in order to improve her facial structure to make it "selfie ready." According to Lavey, she disliked seeing herself in Skype chats and Facebook photos, and felt there was a need for a makeover.

In Lavey's opinion, a selfie is a mark of your personal brand, and something that can even make or break a career.

"Today this business is moving at the speed of the Internet,” Lavey said. “Your selfie is your head shot so you can reinvent yourself every day with your iPhone. It’s a legitimate form of promoting yourself.”

It's not like we don't find unflattering photos of ourselves on the Internet—that's a part of living in this socialmedia driven world. It's a tad extreme, however, to undergo several thousand dollars worth of surgery—just to fix your face for selfies.
