New York Giants fans are hurting right now with the team's 0-5 start, but one player who’s doing well for himself on and off the field is Victor Cruz. The superstar wide receiver is still making acrobatic catches and pulling off salsa moves in the end zone despite a dismal season for the Giants. And when he’s not on the gridiron, his sartorial game stays on point.
In a recent interview with Michael Hainey, GQ’s Deputy Editor, Cruz talks a bit about his style essentials. Jordan 3’s are a must for his sneaker collection, but his absolute favorite item in his closet is his Balmain leather motorcycle jacket. It’s a luxe investment piece he says will probably be passed on to his son.
Of course being the most fashionable one in the locker room is not without jokes from his teammates, but he’s cool with it all, and now the linemen are asking him to make some 3X and 3XL T-shirts from his label Young Whales. One of the best parts of the interview comes when Hainey asks whether a player has ever lost their playbook while traveling. It's never happened to Cruz, but the penalty from Coach Tom Coughlin would probably cost more than most pieces in his closet.
