We certainly appreciate all the effort women put into getting dressed in the morning. But can we take a second to talk about all these style tricks they're pulling on us? Wigs, extensions, and weaves. Deceitful waist lines. BUTT PADS. Women are getting more creative and are coming up with new tricks by the day, it seems. They're getting smarter about it, too. Which is why some of us fall victim to them, not knowing what even hit us.

Remeber that episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Airwhere Will and his girlfriend, Kathleen, get stuck in the basement after an earthquake? Will freaks out. His girl takes off her wig, her "big green eyes," and her nails, causing Will to freak out more. "What else on your body can I get at the mall?" he asks her.

Now ask yourself: Have I experienced this before? If so, pay more attention. If you haven't yet, then you'll want to familiarize yourself with these Women's Style Tricks, so you don't fall for the trap.

Eyelash extensions

Women are no longer just buying fake eyelashes at the pharmacy or Chinatown, they're getting eyelash extensions. This means they're getting real hair individual glued to their real eyelashes to get longer ones. Now, they usually only last for a month, so unless your girl is willing to spend $100 every time they fall out, you'll be able to tel if she's guilty of this.

Weaves, extensions, and wigs

Some women are open about wearing weaves, extensions, and wigs, though maybe less so for the latter. There are, however, some who insist they just got their hair dyed at the salon or used that good horse shampoo to make it grow longer, faster. Either way, keep an eye out because these are more common than you would think.

Body shapers / Spanx

Body shapers are pretty self-explanatory—they shape one's body or, in other words, make you skinny. Women wear them underneath dresses, shorts, and sometimes even jeans. You have to keep an eye out for these because they're deceitful. Worse, though, they're nearly impossible to see. Your best bet is to think about proportions. Does that girl look like she'd have a size 24 waist line?

Butt pads

Women all over the world wear butt pads in hopes of getting that Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, or Beyoncé derriere. But let's be honest, they only give temporary results—and hopes (for us).

Fake nails

Fake nails are a bit more subjective than some of the other ones on this list. Some guys are impartial to it, a few even like it, while others refuse to date girls who have fake nails. It's all personal preference, be it acrylic or press-on nails from the mall. But what we can't get behind are really, really long acrylic toe nails though. That's just disgusting.

Stuffing bras

Fact: Some women don't want small breasts either, which is why they stuff their bras. But these days, it's not just with toilet paper anymore; some also use pads. So how can you tell? Chances are they'll be a different size every day. If you can't tell, though, you could always just try giving them a hug and decide then. And if you're lucky, this will just happen.

Makeup

Just about every woman out there wears makeup, some more than others. While we appreciate a girl who takes care of herself, sometimes too much makeup is no good. Why? That shit can really change a person's face altogether (remember this girl who made herself look like Drake?) The good news is you can actually tell when someone has too much makeup on. Keep an eye out for cakey skin and makeup smudges on her clothes, as well as difference in the color of her face and neck.

Spray-on tans

Spray on tans are cool when not used excessively. But when a woman tries to convince people that she's three shades darker than she naturally is then we have a problem.

Colored contacts

Oh, you're dating a girl with beautiful green eyes? Wouldn't be too sure about that. Colored lenses are more common than you might think. We understand that some people prefer to wear contact lenses over glasses, but, at the very least, wear the clear ones.

Hidden platform sneakers

These sneakers are far from new, but women have really taken a liking to it this year. From the popular Isabel Marants to Nike's own version, the Dunk Sky Hi, these kicks add height. How? Well, there's a hidden wedge inside the shoe, duh. So the next time you see a lady rocking these, understand that she's actually a few inches shorter.
