Karl Lagerfeld, no matter how ridiculous he is, makes the fashion world a better place. His comedic sense of dress, and off-beat quotes are what people have come to expect from the couture designer. Tokidoki artist Simone Legno captured the designer's signature look perfectly, and created a series of vinyl toys in his image, the first of which launched earlier this year. Lagerfeld fans will want to get their hands on the newest edition—as it features his beloved cat, Choupette.
Lagerfeld's cartoon counterpart is also emblazoned in a special capsule collection with NET-A-PORTER. The ready-to-wear apparel and accessories encompasses everything from T-shirts and skinny jeans to accessories like a clutch, scarves and iPhone cover. Lagerfeld voiced his approval of his vinyl likeness. “I am very flattered that I have become a tokidoki," he said. "I always loved them and I am very happy to be one of them.”
The collection will be sold exclusively at NET-A-PORTER.COM and KARL LAGERFELD concept stores in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris starting this month.
