The L’s keep rolling in for Rams running back Tre Mason.

Yesterday, TMZ reported a warrant had been issued for Mason after he blew off his court date stemming from a wild March 5 arrest. The L.A. Rams’ 22-year-old running back was cited for possession of marijuana, reckless driving, and resisting arrest following a traffic stop in Hollywood, Fla. Police reportedly even needed a taser to take Mason into custody.

Today, Mason pled not guilty to all charges – but there’s still a Broward County warrant out for his arrest because Mason sent his attorney to court and didn’t show up himself. This dude must hate going to court.

Mason is entering his third year in the league. He was a surprise fantasy star as a rookie, but Todd Gurley’s emergence put Mason is the backseat. Mason posted only 207 yards and one touchdown on 75 carries last season, after amassing 765 yards and four touchdowns on 179 carries his rookie year.

You might remember Mason as the son of Maseo from De La Soul. Mason was a standout on the 2013-14 Auburn team that nearly shocked Jameis Winston and the No. 1 Florida State Seminoles … until this happened.

Here’s hoping Mason pulls it together soon. This season promises to be an interesting one for his Rams, who just traded for the No. 1 overall pick, and he could provide a nice change of pace from the Rams’ typical formula of giving the ball to Gurley or Tavon Austin every play.
