In recent months, Delonte West has made headlines on a couple of occasions (see here and here) for calling LeBron James out on social media, and everyone has laughed at his shenanigans. But over the weekend, some photos of West walking around in Houston sometime last week emerged, and they are the furthest thing from funny.

According to TMZ, West was spotted outside of a Jack in the Box restaurant at around 10 p.m. one night last week. He reportedly wasn’t wearing any shoes and, when a fan approached him and asked if he was Delonte West, West responded by saying, “I used to be, but I’m not about that life anymore.” The fan then snapped the photo above, which seems to show that West was completely out of it and not himself that night. Another photo—which you can see here—shows West standing with his eyes closed next to the fan who approached him. And the fan also posted a caption about his brief interaction with West on Instagram with this caption before later deleting it:

Bro had hospital robe on like he escaped from the psych ward or some shit. I asked wat happened and he said life…….damn!!

West has struggled with bipolar disorder in the past, so many people are jumping to the conclusion that he could be struggling with mental illness right now. But whatever the case, we obviously hope he gets the help he needs.
