The Knicks got rid of Derek Fisher, and now, they're reportedly considering parting ways with Carmelo Anthony. The latest Melo trade rumor involves a potential blockbuster with the Celtics, Cavaliers, and Knicks. There have been trade talks between Boston and Cleveland centered around Kevin Love, but the Daily News's Frank Isola reports that they've extended to include New York.
The Knicks could get a couple of draft picks plus Timofey Mozgov in this deal. However, Anthony would have to waive his no-trade clause. Anthony has remained loyal the blue-and-orange, but it's very possible he's had a change of heart if the below quote is any indicator.
“Not yet. I'm pretty sure I'll have that conversation with myself and my family and my team,” Anthony said. “But it's not a conversation for right now.”
We won't have to wait long to see if this actually happens; the trade deadline is on Thursday.
