In the fourth quarter of Monday night's contest between the Blazers and the Hawks, Atlanta's Dennis Schroder tripped on a drive to the basket, and an opposing player's knee caught him in the mouth, which sent one of his teeth bouncing to the floor.

Whether it was because he hoped to somehow salvage the now missing tooth or out of simple common courtesy, Schroder decided to tuck it into his sock for safekeeping so he could remain in the game.

Schroder knocked out his tooth so he put it in his sock. That's gonna taste so bad going back in.https://t.co/SQFB6GQAGf

Schroder said afterward that he plans to visit the dentist "ASAP." Obviously.
