UPDATE:
Joseph Randle has been released from jail. He provided KAKE News with this explanation for what happened last night:
Welp.
See original story below.
Former Cowboys running back Joseph Randle just can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble.
The 23-year-old—who was arrested last year for stealing underwear and cologne from a department store near Dallas and then arrested again earlier this year on a drug charge after police responded to a domestic violence-related call in Wichita, Kan.—was reportedly arrested last night at the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kan.
According to TMZ Sports, Randle was asked to leave the casino at around 10 p.m. for being too intoxicated. He reportedly refused to go quietly, though, and spit on the floor of the casino before assaulting a security guard. At that time, he was placed under arrest and charged with a variety of crimes, including felony criminal threats, misdemeanor assault of a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, battery, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass. He is still in police custody and being held on $25,000 bail.
The Cowboys cut ties with Randle earlier this season and, just before they did, Jerry Jones revealed that the team had assigned counselors to work with Randle due to unspecified mental health issues.
