If you watched the above video, it shouldn't take much of an explanation to tell you why these two safeties were ejected from their Texas high school game Friday night. And that's good because there's not much we know at the moment anyway. We do know that before the ref got clobbered two players from their team had already been tossed from the game on separate plays. However, it's unclear if that's what led to the twin cheapshot.
We also know that their hit(s) led to a penalty that allowed their opponent to prolong their possession and run out the clock for a 15-9 win.
What happens to these players in the future is up in the air as the question of "what instigated that" is currently being investigated.
