At some point in the near future, Kobe Bryant is going to take off his Lakers (or Knicks?) uniform for the last time and end his NBA career. And when it's over, it's going to be over for good.

Unlike other former NBA superstars who have parlayed their success in the league into front office positions, Kobe doesn't have any interest in sticking around and working as an NBA executive once his career ends. During his appearance on The Big Podcast With Shaq today, he was asked about the idea of him becoming an exec, and he said there's no chance of it happening. He gave a pretty phenomenal reason for it, too.

"Don't look at me," he said when he was asked by Big Podcast co-host John Kincade if Kobe or Shaq would make the better exec. "I would fire somebody in a second. No way. I would cut everybody."

Kobe has followed in Michael Jordan's footsteps for most of his career. But it doesn't sound like he's going to follow him into the front office, much as we'd all love to see him cut an entire NBA team simply for sucking.
