There's some sad news coming out of Indianapolis, where the NCAA Championship Game between Duke and Wisconsin was held last night.

According to several media outlets, Illinois State associate head coach Torrey Ward and four other people were killed in a plane crash after attending the title game. Ward sent this tweet out last night after arriving at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis:

But the private plane that he was on following the game reportedly hit a patch of heavy fog over Illinois and crashed a short time later. Scott Barrows, the father-of-law of the owner of the plane, confirmed that it had gone down very early this morning during an interview with the Chicago Tribune.

"They were supposed to land around midnight," he said. "My daughter was called at 4 a.m. There was no contact. It has been confirmed they are dead."

Such a sad story.
