There comes a time in everybody's life when they get a little older and give off the vibe of a grouchy old man that doesn't like a particular trend embraced by the younger crowd. Today that "grouchy old man" is award-winning Washington Post columnist Mike Wise.

Get off my lawn.

Wise tweeted his distaste for the beats blaring in the Indiana Pacers' locker room yesterday.

Pacers' pre-game locker room is pounding gangsta rap with Tiger and the Game. Apparently the n-bomb debate is not happening in Indiana.

Which seems okay. Kind of a weird gripe but, you know, not a huge deal. It's just one tweet after all. But then he made the mistake of trying to relate to the vernacular of the younger crowd (or should we say, what he thinks the vernacular is). It seemed to be either: Intended condescendingly, or typed in a tone-def manner. You make the call. Whatever his intent, it didn't read too well online.

Oh, my bad, dawgs. It's TYGA and The Game. And it's straight-up filthy, like where some guys on the team look uncomfortable listening.

After that he wondered whether this is something Commissioner Silver should take a look at (We're hoping he's kidding, but again it's hard to tell when it's online).

B--ch this, H- that. Nbombs. If I was Adam Silver, I would take a hard look at locker room music as part of a mutually respectful league.

To nobody's surprise the Twitter discourse was neither civil, nor positive in any way. Wise's Twitter was bombarded by replies/venting. And once again we learned nothing good happens 140 characters at a time.

Do you have an opinion on the matter? If so, let us know where you stand.
