If you had 15 minutes to talk to two of the best NASCAR drivers right now (and ever), what would you ask them? Would you ask Jimmie Johnson about going for championship No. 7? Would you ask Dale Earnhardt Jr. about what it was like seeing the No. 3 car out on the track again? Would you ask them what it feels like to be three wide going nearly 200 mph with worn tires and only a few drops of gas left? Maybe you would. But we wouldn't.
All of those questions have already been asked a million times, plus they're just kind of typical NASCAR stuff. When we have the chance to talk to these guys, we want to see what makes them human. We want to see their personalities. What makes them just like us? They are, after all. So, naturally, we ask them questions about video game characters and spirit animals. Valvoline had us out to Charlotte for the making of Jimmie and Dale's truck restoration project, and we had some extra time with the two out on the zMAX Dragway.
