The Black Mamba himself, Kobe Bryant, got on the phone Wednesday morning with The Dan Patrick Show to wax poetic about the state of All Things Kobe with Patrick. And Lakers fans are not likely to be psyched about what he had to say.

Kobe told Dan Patrick that, for one thing, he'd be playing right now...if the Lakers were playoff contenders. Which they aren't. And not because of his busted knee. He also told Patrick that he had breakfast with Phil Jackson ten days ago, and that's a story in and of itself. Check out the Complex News video above for more on this story, the full Dan Patrick/Kobe interview here, and keep it locked here for all the latest on Kobe (and the various other reasons he is or isn't playing right now).
