PGA Tour golfer Steve Elkington is not the first person to make a joke about Michael Sam on Twitter. If you're a Twitter user, you've no doubt encountered quite a few tasteless "jokes" about Sam over the last few weeks. But the joke that Elkington made earlier today was just bad. Forget the fact that it's incredibly homophobic for a second, and instead focus on how un-funny Elkington's joke about Sam was:

And he deserves every single ounce of hate that's getting thrown his way. Elkington was a pretty decent golfer back in late 1990s. But he's now going to be forever known as "the guy who made that really awful joke about Michael Sam." SMFH.
