Raise your hand if you thought that Joel Anthony—yes, Joel Anthony—was going to be trending on Twitter today. Anyone? ANYONE?
Well, he is! And it's all because of a three-team trade that the Heat, Warriors, and Celtics just pulled off. That trade calls for Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks to go to the Warriors, Toney Douglas to go to the Heat, and Anthony to go to the Celtics along with two draft picks. And for whatever reason, Twitter has taken to the news about Anthony going to Boston the most with lots of fans chiming in on his portion of the trade:
Why? Ummm…your guess is as good as ours. Apparently, people love/hate/feel some type of way about Anthony. Whatever the case, this is going to be the first and last time that Joel Anthony is ever trending on Twitter, so we hope he enjoys it! After years of being stuck in the shadow of the "Big 3," it's his time to shine.
