Jason Kidd as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets is still a work in progress. A couple of days ago, Kidd picked up his first ever technical foul of his coaching career after running outside the coaching box. After receiving the tech, J-Kidd said that he "deserved a T" and "it's a lesson learned."
Well, onto the next lesson: when your team is getting destroyed, even if it's a Summer League game, you don't break out to answer a phone call! But, in Kidd's defense, here's what Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News had to say about the incident:
Jason Kidd isn't even coaching the Summer League team today, BTW. So it's not like he left to take a call while he was coaching.
Still, do you think you'd see a real coach like George Karl or Gregg Popovich just break out to answer his phone?
