Subaru is quite the unlikely success story, in a time when most automakers' sales went down, Subaru gained market share, and now that the recession seems to be winding down, Subaru's sales are up 25% when compared to this time last year. While this is great news for anyone employed by Subaru, it poses a small problem for the consumer.
Most carmakers keep a 60 day supply of cars on hand, and we're sure Subaru would like to as well. However, right now the Forester is down to only a 16 day supply, and with the production facility running at capacity, this situation isn't going to get better any time soon. So until Subaru completes that expansion of the Lafayette, IN plant, you'd best buy whatever Subaru you want whenever you can find it.
