Wifey Showdown: The WAGs of the 2013 NBA Finals

The NBA Finals have finally arrived, and starting tonight, LeBron James will look to exact some revenge on the team that first denied him from the promised land. Compelling storylines are aplenty here. Will Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili be able to bring home yet another title and further solidify their dynasty? Will the Miami Heat be able to go back-to-back? How will San Antonio's humble, team-oriented style match-up against Miami's flashy, fast-paced game? Before that, though, the matchup we're most interested in comes from off the court. You guessed it: Wifey Showdown: The WAGs of the 2013 NBA Finals.

Wifey of: Tony Parker

After his divorce from the Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, Tony Parker opted for a more low-profile relationship, and soon began dating French web developer and writer, Axelle Francine. Okay, we see you, Tony. Gotta respect a man who can step out of the limelight and return to his roots.

Wifey of: LeBron James

After two kids and several years of dating, the King finally locked up his queen, Savannah Brinson, on December 31, 2011. Getting engaged to your baby daddy and one of the greatest basketball players of all time? Yeah, we guess you could say she had a Happy New Year.

Wifey of: Tiago Splitter

The couple met when Tiago was playing in Spain and one of the first things he did when he signed with the Spurs in 2010 was put a ring on it. She must be holding things down at home because he's been getting better each year.

Wifey of: Ray Allen

An occasional actress and one-time singer with the Motown-signed group, Shades, Shannon Walker Williams wedded Ray Allen in 2009 after dating him for five years. Perhaps their Spike Lee connection had something to do with it? We all know that Allen starred in the 1998 basketball classic, He Got Game, but many may be unaware that Williams herself made a minor appearance in Lee's 2000 racial satire, Bamboozled. Working with the legendary Spike Lee? Apparently she got some game too.

Wifey of: Matt Bonner

A 6'10" center with range from downtown, Bonner may be more of a role player in San Antonio's rotation, but his wife is superstar material. Bonner met the Canadian native during his playing days in Toronto and the two ended up tying the knot in 2008. Kudos to the Red Mamba.

Wifey of: Erik Spoelstra

Okay, not gonna lie, Spo was a bit of dark horse to make this list, but it's more than deserved. Having graduated magna cum laude at Florida International University with a degree in Art History—and now working as an art gallery director in Bal Harbour—Nikki Sapp has proved herself to be more than just a pretty face. Did we mention that she used to be a Miami Heat dancer?

Wifey of: Tracy McGrady

Married in 2006, Clarenda and T-Mac met when he was car-shopping at a Lexus dealership. Other people would insert some kind of inappropriate gold digger joke here but we're going to keep things classy. We wish the McGrady's nothing but the best.

Orono and Ginobili were married in Argentina in the summer of 2004, right before Ginobili's gold medal victory in the Athens Olympics. Shortly thereafter, Ginobili would sign a six-year/$56M extension with San Antonio. So, just in case you were wondering, Manu Ginobili definitely had a better summer than you that year.

Is it safe to call Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade the premiere power couple of the NBA? Union—formerly a model—is a prolific actress in her own right, while Flash has been burning up the court since he was drafted in 2003. Good luck keeping up with the Joneses on this one.
