As we told you a little while ago, former NFL player/broadcaster Pat Summerall died earlier today. So, in the last few hours, we've seen everyone from Steve Young to Lil Wayne reacting to the news about Summerall's passing.
But the one guy we really wanted to hear from was John Madden. And, a short time ago, Summerall's former broadcasting partner came out and revealed his thoughts on Summerall's legacy.
"Pat was my broadcasting partner for a long time," Madden said in a statement, "but more than that, he was my friend for all of these years. We never had one argument, and that was because of Pat. He was a great broadcaster and a great man. He always had a joke. Pat never complained, and we never had an unhappy moment. He was something very special. Pat Summerall is the voice of football and always will be."
Very nice. Once again, R.I.P. to a true legend.
