The Sacramento Kings didn't make the NBA Playoffs this season. But that doesn't mean the city of Sacramento doesn't have anything to celebrate right now. According to NBA league sources, a special NBA committee just voted against the idea of the Kings relocating to Seattle, which is an idea that's been on the table for several months now:
That doesn't necessarily mean that the Kings won't relocate. There's a chance they still will. But the committee, which consists of 12 NBA owners, has forwarded their recommendation to the NBA Board of Governors, which will hold a final vote in two weeks. And it's widely believed that they will use the committee's recommendation when voting. Stay tuned to see what they ultimately decide.
