If you want a fast BMW 3-Series, but don't want an M3 for some reason – commonly the reason is either "I know nine guys with M3s and they're all asshats" or "I drive in lots of snow and ice" – you now have a factory supported option: the Alpina B3. Power from the 3-series' inline six has been pushed up to 410 horses and torque to 400 lb-ft, up from 300 hp and 300 lb-ft.
All wheel drive will be an option, and naught to 60 mph should take around 5.0 seconds.
