Kobe Bryant is the "Black Mamba." No, really: Kobe Bryant is the "Black Mamba." According to Wizards guard Jordan Crawford, who made an appearance on Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionable recently, KB24 doesn't just use "Black Mamba" as a nickname. He literally turns into a black mamba on the basketball court by making snake-like sounds in the middle of games.
"When I first played with Kobe—they call him the Black Mamba—but he was doing like a little snake sound when he wanted the ball," Jordan told Le Batard. "It was crazy. It's like, 'Tsssss, tsssss.' Like fishing. 'Tsssss, tsssss.' He do that. Everybody tells you he's gonna do it before you play him—like, 'Wait 'til you hear him do this.' And then he [does] it, and it's like, 'What?' He's really a mamba. It sounds like some kind of snake."
Hmmm…Taking the "Black Mamba" thing a bit too far, huh, Kobe? We're sure your teammates don't get tired of that at all.
