The attention grabbing Ford Fusion—Detroit's latest attempt at perfecting the mid-size sedan—doesn't lack in power options. Back in September, we hit Harlem in model equipped with a 240 hp, 2.0-liter inline-four EcoBoost engine. We were surprised by the power, and still itch to give the car a proper workout.
The Fusion will also come with in plug-in-hybrid version, tagged the Fusion Energi, which should push (hopefully) about 188 hp. The price tag is set at just under $40k. Be aware that the electric only range taps at 20 miles…so savings may not be immediate.
